〜ているところ
〜ているところ means in the middle of doing. It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. This follows the te-iru form and means someone is right in the middle of an action. It is often used to explain the current situation in a conversation or phone call. It is not used for something already finished or something not yet started.
Japanese sources describe it as 「今している最中」.
