JLPT N4 grammar

〜てくる

〜てくる means to come doing; to become over time. It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. This attaches to the te-form and shows movement toward the speaker while doing an action. It can also describe a change that has continued up to now. Compared with 「〜ていく」, it has a feeling of coming closer to the viewpoint.

Japanese sources describe it as 「してから来る、今まで変わる」.
