JLPT N5 grammar

〜ませんか

〜ませんか means would you like to; why don't we. It is a JLPT N5 grammar point. Use the negative question form of the masu-form to politely invite someone. Compared with 〜ましょう, it feels softer because it asks the other person's preference.

Japanese sources describe it as 「しませんか(丁寧な誘い)」.
