JLPT N4 grammar

意向形

意向形 means let's; I will (volitional form). It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. The volitional form shows the speaker's will or invites someone to do something together. For Group 1 verbs, change the final u-sound to the o-sound plus 「う」; for Group 2 verbs, drop 「る」 and add 「よう」. 「する」 becomes 「しよう」, and 「来る」 becomes 「来よう」.

Japanese sources describe it as 「意志や誘いを表す形」.
