〜と言われている
〜と言われている means it is said that. It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. Attach this after a sentence to show that many people or people in general say so. It is used when the speaker is not specific, or when reporting a general evaluation or piece of information.
Japanese sources describe it as 「一般に〜と言われている」.
