〜出す
〜出す means to suddenly start doing. It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. Attach this to the stem of the masu-form verb to show that an action or change suddenly begins. It feels more sudden than 「〜始める」 and is often used for things like starting to cry or rain beginning to fall.
Japanese sources describe it as 「急に〜し始める」.
