〜た方がいい
〜た方がいい means had better; should. It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. Attach it to the ta-form to give advice or a recommendation. It tells someone that doing the action is better, so it is closer to advice than an obligation.
Japanese sources describe it as 「したほうがいい」.
