JLPT N4 grammar

〜そうな

〜そうな means seeming; likely to (modifying a noun). It is a JLPT N4 grammar point. 「〜そうな」 is used when something looks a certain way or seems likely from what you can see. It comes before a noun and describes that noun's appearance or condition. Be careful that 「いい」 and 「ない」 become 「よさそうな」 and 「なさそうな」.

Japanese sources describe it as 「〜のように見える・〜しそうな名詞修飾」.
